Help with "Destroy the Tree, Hold down Left Click" so-called "feature"

Apparently it is not a server issue and not every user has it.

just cut down a tree, then it goes away

It's one of those early-on advancements, advising you on how to start off the game. It's because the server so recently updated; you haven't cut down a tree since. xD
