Changing your Minecraft Skin (updated)
« on: June 16, 2017, 07:07:52 PM »
So, there is a new Minecraft website ... and that means a new tutorial on changing your skin!

1. The first thing you need to do is go to www.minecraft.net - that is the new Minecraft website.

2. Up in the top right corner, click the button that says Log In.

3. Put in your Minecraft (Mojang) account and press Log In.

4. It'll bring you back to the home page, but where you earlier clicked "Log In" it'll now display your email. If you right click on it, a menu will drop down. Click the first option, labeled "Profile".

5. Before you go any further, it would be good to choose your skin - unless you've done so already. Remember to name the skin file something you'll remember, like "Minecraft Skin" and save it somewhere accessible, like your Desktop.

6. Now, you'll be in your Profile page. It should look like this:

The first box asks for whether your skin is Steve or Alex. The only difference is that Alex has skinnier arms, but if you have an Alex skin but choose a Steve model, things will not work. The website from which you (most likely) downloaded your skin should tell you. Finally, you need to upload your skin. You can either drag the file from its location or choose to upload by browsing, but either way works.

And there you go! Your skin is now changed. Remember to make it family friendly, and go on Famcraft to check it out!

Thanks for the wonderful new tutorial, Tas! :D I'm sure this will help a lot of players since the old website was so much different, before!
