Will an enchanted diamond chestplate work for an elytra?

It might but I'm pretty sure that it would just erase the enchants from the enchanted chest plate you used. It wouldn't carry over to the elytra.

Okay, it's fine if the enchants don't carry over. I just have a diamond chestplate with protection III (that i'm selling for 15k famcoins) and one with protection II that I wanted to use for the elytra. Thanks for the info!
