rei's minimap?

I was going over the rules (no reason, I was board) and it said that you can use rei's minimap but it hasn't been updated scene 1.6.2.  any suggestions?

You can possibly look up different minimap mods that don't give an ingame advantage I'd say.

xaero's needs forge.  will that work with famcraft / vinilla servers?

I use Xaero's on Famcraft and it work really well.
