The game is set in the 19th century, but there are some magical and fictional things too, like enchanting your items, or the enderdragon. And while there were no creepers walking around in the 1800's, the game still has old things like furnaces, coal, mines, anvils and crafting tables (carpenters shops).

Lol, I i've never even thought that it was in the 19th century..I still dont belive it lol. I think about it more like a modern day world like ours, but you're stranded and the reason you make torches and furnaces (Which I think look like pizza ovens used TODAY! :P) is because it is in fact, survival!

Well, this is just my opinion, but back in the ol' (Really Old) days, life was all about surviving, not learning and enjoying and stuff, and thats wat minecraft is all about. I'm not saying that Minecraft is NOT enjoyable. However, it is still survival-themed, which is more like an old 1800s concept, not modern.

Thats true, But the thing about minecraft that was unique, was the simple feature of left clicking to break blocks, and right clicking to place them! And the point is to build whatever you what! *Whenever you want*

Lol Rundrop, I'm not saying it's realistic. I'm just saying that's when it's set. Portal 2 is set way into the future, and it's not realistic :P

in my opinion, i'd rather put a tnt under a pressure plate and calling it a "mine" than doing the whole confusing programming stuff. XD
