What is a Poppy Sorter?

What is a Poppy Sorter?   Why would someone build one?

I saw this term in one of the ~Sell Your Item~ threads and am looking for what it actually is.

A poppy sorter is commonly found in iron farms, because for most clans people don't like the "useless" poppies, and just want the iron, so they make poppy sorters which burn the poppies before they get to the main collection chest/chests. Hope this helped you :D
