In my opinion, this mod is great for if you are on a creative server, which we are not. Part of the aspect of survival is having the right items on your toolbar and managing your inventory so that you know where things are if you need them in a hurry. Also, for someone who uses the ctrl key for sprinting, it would be really annoying in pvp to be sprinting around, and accidentally scroll the mouse wheel (I use it to scroll through items already) and end up with nothing in my hand.
