I'm fairly certain that PixelProne meant a new challenger rises and defeats the top clan, giving rise to a new era full of smaller clans. Because one of those will eventually become top clan themselves, that throws us into an infinite loop. I guess they do win!
Since the game's over, I guess I'll start it with over with dark oak log; if anyone still wants to play. If not then at least I solved that loose end
