We will be making brackets for the tournament and will take place in 2 weeks on a saturday.

So, how will the bracket work exactly? What kind of elimination will it be, and how will it work?

I'm not sure if we still are doing brackets, it might just be whoever shows up. But if we do it will be like basketball

Given that I am not a sports person, could you explain how that works, please?

^ what rowan said xD
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly time-y wimey.. stuff.
^  favorite Doctor Who quote

2 seconds is forever. How does that work? It'll take 2 seconds to explain.

A bracket is a form of elimination where two teams/people play against each other, and the winner advances while the loser is out of the game. It is used in many games like the World Cup and basketball. It is called that because it looks like brackets. (See picture)

On topic I might want to play.

Here's what I meant to ask: how does a bracket work with more than two people per game? Or is that how we are going to do it? Most brackets have a format (i.e., single/double elimination, or I've also seen brackets where there are a set number of matches and the top 50% go on to the next bracket level). What will be the format we will be using?

So, with my recent computer issues, I am having to take it in for repair, which will likely take the next couple weeks. As such, I will not be able to participate in this unfortunately. Perhaps I can schedule another one in May ;)
