Short version: The server was temporarily a little bit broken. We are fixing it by restoring it to the way it was at around 8:00 am central time yesterday, Oct. 28, 2018. The server will be back up shortly. The Game server, Skyblock and Wastelands are all currently connectable if you'd like to play games while you wait. Everything is fine!  Long version: There will be a server-wide rollback on Classic and Main of approximately 20 hours as of about mid-day October 29th, 2018. This will restore all map and player-data to the way it was around 8am on October 28, 2018. The hardware was relocated, and as always we tried to make the relocation as seamless as possible. Unfortunately, at restart many of our plugins did not load properly which left the map vulnerable to a large assortment of problems. Some of the issues included plugins such as clans, chest protections and other protections including fire-spread prevention not working properly. These issues went un-noticed by staff and players for many hours allowing leading to issues that require the map roll-back. Once the rollback is complete all player/map/plugin data should be restored and just as you left it yesterday morning. The Game server, Skyblock and Wastelands are all currently connectable if you'd like to hang out there or play games while you wait for the main server to be back online. We will be watching for your account to join when a staff member is available to assist you. We offer a tour to each new player to help them learn the server commands and introduce them to how Famcraft works. We do offer a mini-game on our connected games server to help teach players and their parents the very basics of Minecraft the game, though most of the game is learned through gameplay itself. ** PLEASE Do not create whitelist request topics **We're making a change to how we handle whitelist requests on Famcraft. There will be two ways for new players to join the server: - If you have a friend or relative who plays on Famcraft, you can ask them to send a message to an admin and request that you be whitelisted. If the player who refers you has a long standing good record with Famcraft we will attempt to get you added to the whitelist sooner.
- The whitelist is OFF when staff are available to assist new players, and all players are free to join when the whitelist is off.
Famcraft is a family friendly server. We take the safety of our players very seriously. We also strictly enforce the rules we have posted on the forum and on the server to help ensure the server stays safe and friendly. Famcraft is not always whitelisted. This is a feature we turn off and on throughout the day as needed to help make sure we can keep up with our current players needs. Hi again Dad,
There was active discussion about the admins working on the server. We keep the players updated as we work.
There are signs on the wall that explain what the fallback server is. Regardless of "intent" he ignored staff's corrections and continued to spam for whatever reason. I am sure you can understand why this is a problem.
We will unban him at this time. We do hope he has learned from this and will make an effort to follow the rules at all times and pay attention to staff corrections.

Thank you for taking the time to plea. Your plea is well worded and seems sincere. You have been unbanned.
For future reference, To help you understand a little more about griefing, Here are some of the things that count as griefing on Famcraft-
* Removing any block another player placed without that player's permission
*Placing a protection stone in another player's area
*Harvesting another player's crops without their permission
*Killing another player's animals without their permission
*Claiming/protecting another players pet without permission (Example: taming a wolf, protecting a horse)
*Removing/changing landscape features in another players "yard" (What is directly visible from their home)
*Placing blocks in another player's area without permission
*Taking items from another player's chest without permission (Stealing/griefing)
*Keeping a players items after PvP if you did not agree to at first (Stealing)
*Not replanting at public/shared/clan farms
*Leaving any locked item such as a chest, furnace or pet in another player's space or a public location

You've been a member of this community for years. You know we are very no-nonsense. We warned you about this exact thing less than 24 hours before you did it again.
The admin team is very divided over your plea.
On the one hand, you've been with us a long time and you've been a very good player for the most part.
On the other hand, as a long time player, we do expect more of you.
The dishonesty in the first plea also didn't help matters.
At this time, we are going to go ahead and reduce your perm-ban to a two week temp ban. After 14 days pass you will be able to log in and play. If we see this type of thing again you will be perm-banned with no plea option.

Hello,
When you joined the creative server you had to walk right through signs explaining that "ALL FAMCRAFT RULES APPLY". I am certain that by now you should know that griefing is never allowed on Famcraft.
I have reduced your perm-ban to a 2 week ban, beginning today. After two weeks you can log in and play, however, if you ever grief again you'll not be welcome back in this community.

Logging into any new community and complaining about the tools in place to keep that community safe and clean is not a great idea.

Hi Dad,
On the morning Sawyer was banned the server was experiencing a great deal of technical difficulty. The admin team was hard at work trying to get the server back up and running as quickly as possible. Sawyer, seeing that we were too busy to be in game to "properly" staff, chose to break the rules and continued after being warned. This would be bad enough under normal circumstances but when he sees the staff team is already dealing with a server related crisis, it's truly unacceptable. We've been in no rush to see him back in game. Before we consider a pardon for this ban, we would like to see that he fully understands why this type of behavior is not okay.
