Title: Minecraft 1.6.2
Post by: MrChris13 on July 11, 2013, 08:09:55 AM
I was just wondering why we haven't updated to 1.6.2? It's a little tedious to switch between 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 to do other things. Craftbukkit 1.6.2 has been out now for over a week, when are we going to update?

 :)

They are still waiting on the Plugins Chris, even if Bukkit is updated, although some plugins may work ok, others could bug out unless in their correct bukkit version, give it some time :) I suspect it'll be ready by the 16th or so

Keep in mind that bukkit/spigot isnt the only things that need updating, we have nearly 60 plugins to wait for as well....

Maybe this is a good time to get rid of old and unused plugins?  ;D

I do not think that the plugins wouldn't work with this update as it is just a little bug fix for horses and new things and such. It's like going from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5  :P

It's never, EVER that simple. Mojang tweaks things with every update to break lots of plugins, and then bukkit tweaks other things to break other plugins. It's almost always stupid little things that takes the plugin devs a few seconds to remedy, yet mojang and bukkit continue to do it and we're sadly at their mercies every single time. This is why plugin devs and server owners continue to be angry at mojang for not providing a stable plugin API which would compensate for the small update tweaks.

From 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 is what I meant  :P

Can we go back to 1.6.1? There has been a glitch with the hoppers and my apples only does half of what they used to.

The hopper problem is in LWC so it doesnt matter if you go back to 1.6.1 or stay om 1.6.2
to make them work: /unlock the hopper, and /unlock any chest or whatever thing you are hoppering into. That should do the trick for now :)
