Sell your products/homes / Re: Jenny's Pixel Mall

But pricing is done by negotiation.  We don't have any set prices.  If it helps, we have already had one person pay a million for a custom job.  It's hard to say since each piece is different in size and difficulty.

For instance, the batman logo would probably take 15 - 20 minutes to complete and be cheaper than Charlie Brown and his friends which could take a couple of hours to do.  The more detail, the higher the cost.

We don't want to give a ballpark.  We want the customer to make an offer and go from there.

Sell your products/homes / Jenny's Pixel Mall

This isn't a mall that you can buy shops from, but one you can buy pixel art from.  Jenny's art is not your standard Minecraft art.  Jenny's art has been used at Spawn.

How it works:

1 - Choose a piece you like
2 - Negotiate a price to have Jenny or Chip come and build it on your property.  Don't expect it to be cheap.  Again, these are not
every day Minecraft pixel art builds.
3 - Allow up to one week for the build to be complete.

Purchasing rules:

1 - We supply all of the materials needed
2 - Pay half up front and the rest upon completion
3 - If you don't pay, the art will be removed and half of your down payment returned.  One half of the down payment will be
kept for the time we put in on the build and materials we may have had to purchase.

Custom/Request rules:

1 - Request for a custom piece will be considered and researched.  But no guarantee that we can do it.
2 - If we decide that we can do the custom piece, a price will be negotiated.
3 - Before a custom piece is started, we expect a non-refundable down payment of half the negotiated price.  If you are not happy with
it, we will attempt to make you happy.  But if we can not, we keep the down payment for our time and materials.
4 - Custom pieces may take longer than one week to complete, depending on the piece.  Once we know a time line, you will be notified.
5 - Once a custom piece is completed to the customers satisfaction and payment is made, the customer is responsible for getting
it moved.  Donors are free, non donors must pay according to the WE pricing here http://u.famcraft.com/19

You can find our mall by visiting the Faxanadu Mall.  We are located in the front - left shop location.  From there you will take a stargate to the mall.

New piece are added weekly, check back often.

Report a grief / Re: Grief?

Actually, there is a rather large built up area near him.  Including a couple of witch spawners.  However, I do suggest that Andrew protect it to prevent future griefs.

How about we just figure out how many diamond blocks it would take to cover our area, pay 4 times the block chest shop value, and get a region.

Problem.  Solved.

I have a mass of precious stones that are only 20 blocks apart and I'm planning to completely redo my entire area into an overhead grid.  How high up should I put them.  I do have things that are more that 64 blocks high (1 building at 128 blocks).

General Discussion / To the parents of our players.
« on: December 02, 2013, 04:40:35 PM »
To our players, if you would like to show your parents what Famcraft is all about, please have them read this.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm writing this to the parents of our players that like to know where and who their kids are playing online with.  Your child found Famcraft, one of the safest servers for a minor to play on.  We, unlike many other so called family friendly servers, make our players play by the rules we have set.  Punishments range from simple kicks or muting to let a player know they were caught doing something very minor to permanent bans.

Our rules are, for the most part, common sense.  No swearing, no stealing, no defacing another players property (called griefing), and no killing another players animals.  We also don't allow modified game clients that would give a player an advantage over another.  We hold all of our players to these rules, no matter how long they have been with us.

We have a large compliment of staff to help enforce the rules.  All of our staff is extremely friendly and are not allowed to play favorites.  The first thing a new player see's on Famcraft is a large number of staff AND players warmly welcoming them to our great server.  After the new player reads the rules, they are given a tour to learn how to use many of the plugins (modifications) the server offers to help make their time on Famcraft as fun as possible.

Famcraft is an economy based server that teaches kids about working to earn money, buying and selling of items and services, and negotiating better prices.  Our rules teaches them to interact in a positive way, to pull their own weight when working in groups, and to be honest.  We pride ourself with the kind of players that chose to stay with Famcraft.  We know that we have the best of the best players here and let them know every chance we get.  We find that players who can't follow rules or are just out to make trouble, don't stay long.  They either bore quickly from the lack of mischief on Famcraft or are removed by our staff quickly because of the mischief they cause.

Famcraft is completely free to play on.  There will never be any requirement for any kind of payment to play here.  Players that do donate to the sever do not get any special treatment with the rules.  Regular players, donators, and staff are all treated equally when it comes to the rules of Famcraft which is what makes our great server better than the rest.

Thank you for taking the time to read this note to you.  Please feel free to send me a private message with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Chipw
Staff member and father of 2 players.

General Discussion / Re: School Status
« on: December 02, 2013, 09:46:42 AM »
Kids these days are lucky, because they can find friends in far away places as if they had moved in next door with the internet.  When I was growing up, mobile phones were a futuristic thing, now my 11 year old has one.

In elementary and middle school, I was the short fat kid that got picked last for everything and in high school I hung out with the wrong crowds only because they were the only ones that would talk to me.  I made more friends from other schools than I did my own.  In my day, meeting people from other areas was through jobs.  Because I didn't have the internet to meet people like me, I started working when I was 15 and it probably saved my life.  It's where I met people in my own school like me that I didn't have classes with and probably wouldn't have met otherwise.

I lucked out and sprouted between middle and high school.  So I was no longer the short kid, but people still seen me that way.  Like Ghouls said, I just went and did what I was interested in and ended up meeting people that I would later call friends.  Just use school for what school is there for, learning.  Don't worry about the relationships, they will come when they come.  Don't worry about friends in school, you have them here.  Don't worry about mean kids because one day, you will be their boss.  They usually tend to not get very far in life because they were too busy being "cool".
