Good day all my friends
this morning harrythefirst and lord B were talking about ships. I us to build models for competitions so would like to start this post. My pciture is of a scratch built HO/OO model cattle car from england, I will have some later of my model of Takao. I also have a model ship coming from japan ARP Yamato. With this model coming it gave me the idea of doing a progress photo time line of creation start to finish.
we would love to see others creative skills weather drawins, painting, models, art or anything you create. Though everything should be family friendly for the server.

heres two photos of my ships that are hand painted and my model takao. the fist is takao mental model and the ship to eplain my skin. the second is takao with my small ones from a board game. Left to right the small ones USS Wisconsin, ARP Kongo, ARP Takao, ARP Yamato and front USCGC Tanney.

I'm always amazed at the patience of model makers. I tried an Airfix Spitfire once and got bored half way through.

No ones as good as Kealper :D I like programing and flying drones(I dont have any that "work" right now) and shooting at paper cups hundreds of feet away with a BB gun(hey I hit sometimes!).

Programming here. I also fly RC Helicopters (and want to break into planes). I also enjoy model railroading (N scale) and fooling around with my home computer lab.

I model in ho G and hon30 trains my main railroads are Alaska, Wisconsin central, Wisconsin Southern any 2 foot narrow gauge and the railways of austrailia. my favorite locomotive is the beyer garratt.

I like to ride my bike I'm trying to learn how to pop a wheelie.I might be able to get the GoPro on my bike and show you :D

Outside of MC I play card and other video games, ride my bike, and do Ultimate Frisbee, swimming, and Tae Kwon Do. Not much interesting here per se, but I thought I'd put it out there.

I make and design native american jewelry and other crafts like leather pouches and dreamcatchers.
My daughter, CaseyRose draws and here is a pencil drawing portrait she did of her younger brother, sirbumblebee_ and his dog Zeus about 6 years ago.
and sirbumblebee_ helps his dad with beekeeping :)

Man you guys all have awesome talents
I'm a writer, mainly but meh. I've tried drawing but the best I can do is copy anime, which I'm not too bad at but I'm no where near as amazing as some of my friends. I like playing the violin but I'm not that good at lol. I also have some weird knack for history. Oh, and I've recently started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (I used to do ballet, tap and jazz for like 6 years) which is pretty fun but I'm a lot weaker and smaller than the other guys lol.
But man uscgtanker those models look awesome! That's an awesome hobby to have.

Im a drummer and drum usually a hour a day. I do a lot of nordic skiing during the winter and a lot of mountain biking during the summer. I ski usually 55-100 kilometers a week and I try to bike over a 100 miles every week. I am really into starting random projects. My current one is building a bike camper ( basically a camper you pull with your bike). The other things I enjoy doing is anything work related. I like to stay busy and get things done.

Besides building plastic models i'm also in metal working. During my metal fabrication class after all my projects were done, i used scrap metal to make a model of a steeple cab locomotive from my museum. L-8 is powered by 600volt electric built in 1908. The museum also has her sister's number L-9, L-6 crane and d-23 line inspection and overhead platform. all cars were built for the (The Milwaukee Electric Railroad & Light Company)
My model queen mary 2 is getting a paint job today first primer then her colors, when finished i'll have a few pics also. And should the clan build this ship or a group project between several people?

I don't do much. I do Taekwondo a bit, (just got my black belt yay), I play the trumpet, hang with friends, play videogames and read Calvin and Hobbes. I have most of the strips memorized. Also uscgtanker you guys should build the "Yellow Submarine" from the Beatles song with the same name.

Oh fun! I love reading about players hobbies :D
So besides MC, I love to quilt, hike, and listen to most genres of music! I enjoy really long drives and getting out into "the blue" (as I like to call it, which equates to seeing the blue non visible areas of the skyline of a new place and going to see what cool stuff is there lol) Photography is also a passion of mine. Perhaps one day when I learn how to add photos here I will share a few. :P

I have so many hobbies, it's hard to know what to put. I love doing beadwork, it's one of the first crafts I learned on my own. I also knit, crochet, tat, sculpt, do pottery, spin yarn, weave, sew and tool leather. If I get a desire to learn a new craft, I won't quit until I get it down. Here are some photos of my stuff:

Very nice work VeronicaB working with fabrics is a very fine skilled trade/hobby. years ago i tried weaving but could only make rags. Your skill with your loam is better or equal to mine with a model knife. Just remember a hobby is a great way to relaxe and have fun. If your in a competition for your hobby like i was the end award was a plus, but can get very irritating.

good day my friends here are 2 more photos of ships. the first on is some aircraft carriers and a very special submarine. from top to bottom of carriers IJN zuikaku our bases for oarai but larger, second is USS midway late WW2 the current configuration has the angled deck, the third is USS Princeton the small home ship we built for expansion. The submarine in the right side is IJN I-401 in arp colors, If we build a sub at the fleet it would be her. looks a lot better then a yellow submarine and the first to have aircraft on a sub.
Then i have my self a big winter project USCGC Eagle. This will be a lot of wood and brass work and challenging.

I always make all my family's Christmas presents; always something that shows off their unique personalities. I don't know of I'd call it a hobby... more of a tradition. But it's still fun. I've actually already started.... :-[

well the model of yamato i order is lost in the postal system with little hope of showing up. so i purchased another ship fast battleship KONGO. If you want me to do a photo slide of construction i would be glade to do so.

You want to know that for picking up these skills didn't happen over night. I was in the same boat as you years ago but you can learn from elders, by watching model shows and demos, looking at items irl and able to copy and just experimenting on your own art or hobby. You have a great skill all of you some might have to unlock it's ability, others need to hone there skills. we all have some art form that makes us unique and spacial the key is having fun in the enjoyment.
I'll be posting on more pic of a finished model of kongo. then i'm thinking of putting this post to bed.

Here is a picture of a model of battleship Kongo. If anyone thinks we should build it for the fleet msg me in game, i'll be taking a poll and see how many like this.
