Dawbro suggested possibly doing a Clan Olympics!
We would build a giant arena/area to hold a competition between clans. Each clan would supply a # of members (5 or 10 would be cool) and each one competes in a series of events such as:
- Spleef
- Horse Racing
- Pig Racing
- Archery
- Boat Racing
and etc.
We'll need a LOT of coordination and planning to go into this before we start, but i think it would be awesome to hear what kind of events/ideas YOU guys had about it, as well as who would like to participate! :D

I think that this would be perfect to see which is a better clan, Fires or Cielo >:D
We need to build like a big circle arena for all the events to take place in, kind of like a track-and-field style. You're good at building, aren't you, Ghouls? lol

Oh i totally plan on helping to make this giant arena >:D
Maybe make it a giant oval with a grassy spot in the middle for something? a pool maybe?
The track around the outside could be used for running/racing/etc, and if we do it right, we could flood it with water for boat-racing. (Then use pistons to push the floor up and get rid of the water :P)

It might be cool if instead of clans (since not all clans are as large as fires or Cielo) if we could make teams instead, or just have everyone compete separately :D

What we would really need is a creative server dedicated to this so that we can plan it out there and rebuild it into survival. Maybe you could set this up for us, Micah? ;)

I do like that idea Chris but we would have to talk to an Micah to set one up but I feel that me and Ghouls should be allowed to pick who gets on the server. Just so that no one griefs or messes up the building.

I feel that all that are willing to participate should be admitted excluding those who are known to grief or haven't been on the server over a month. I do not think it is a matter of picking people, but just writing down what players must have done/have not done, and then go from there. First we have to get Micah's permission though :P I don't know if he'd be willing :/

Exactly but I also feel that we need to make sure that if we do get a server set up, we have an area set where the planning will be, and if people want to build other things, that they do it away from our planning/building.

I has another idea, if the build is good enough in the creative world, maybe we could have it WE'd to Survival and have it as like an official place like spawn. Maybe put it into the storage world, and have a /warp olympics to it?

I actually have some experience with Sethbling's events, (recreating them), and I added a few more of my own.
Sethblings Events that I can build,
400 block hurdles
100 block sprint
Long Jump
High Jump
Volley
Javelin Throw
My Events
Equestirianism (horse riding, yes Sethbling made this, BUT DIFFERENT THEN I DID, I use horses and make a track that the horse that we all use can beat)
Jump Launch (Blast Resistance Armour, TNT cannon blasts you and you try to time a jump to be launched as far as you can)
Big Build Contest (Build a thing that you are told, 5 players each team, within 10 minutes, whoever builds it the best wins.)

For horse racing- since they have different speeds, would the clan breed to get a fast horse, and bring their own horse to the competition?
Also, I think it would look really cool if the stadium had a layout similar to the Coliseum, the the competitors would enter as a team (each clan would wear differently died leather armor).

Let me just get this clear, I was just thinking for the horse thing, we would have a bunch of different sections, all in one track, a jumping part, a swimming part, a running part and a soulsand and make it a close race.
As for the other events, I can help.

If we could, we could try and breed the ideal pair of horses together, then continue to breed them to create horses as identical to the parents as possible, so that each horse would have (about) the same speed, same jump, same health.
In a semi-related subject, i'd like to still be a part of this awesome project, but i might have to hand over the reigns (pun not intended) to someone else to lead this thing with, as i have my own hands full with a lot of stuff lately, and i won't be able to dedicate all my time to it like i did the carnival :T

But if you guys need any help building, i'd be happy to. I might not be creative but i'm good at following instructions :P
But i will admit that once a basic idea has been brought to my attention, i will have many idea's on how to make it
Stitch can vouch for that... mabye... probably not... on second thought, don't ask Stitch XD
Although i must say i am a good person to bounce ideas off of, that's something Stitch will vouch for :>

Since Micah isn't responding to the server idea (I didn't think it was gonna happen on a server anywho :/) I'm going to go ahead and have a big world edit to make a giant flatland, and I'm going to protect it all with precious stones. I'm thinking around 200x200 blocks? I'll do it and post screenies later :P

Racing track
fence's
tnt
obsidian
pressure plate
steps:
1. Build the track
2. make every say 10 - 20 block have hurdles,
3. Everywhere around the hurdles must have obsidian
4. in front of the hurdle have tnt and a pressure plate
5. make sure that creative is accesible or have a plug in that you dont get hurt
6. make sure obsidian is around the tnt
make sure when you step on the pressure plate you jump up
also i suggest you make a practice track because sometimes it doesnt work

Here are a few more ideas:
Swimming
Running
Long jump
Wrestling/boxing (i think thats an olympic sport) what u do is have no items in ur inventory and fight fist-tto-fist
Aquestrian (Just see who can manage their horse best)
Somehow do gymnastics (make players choreograph intresting dances with some sort of stunts)
Beam (Make a beam out of fences and see who can stay on longest while jumping & stuff)
also make trophys
1st: 3 diamonds
2nd: 2 diamonds
3rd: 1 diamond
and give maybe 2-3 iron ingots to the other competetors for trying

It doesn't necessarily have to be a clan, it can just be a team of friends but I'm going to say about 5 people per team.
If you guys have a team have ONE person from the team make a post with all of the people in that team.
Also team names are OPTIONAL but it would be kinda cool to have one.

i think the prize for 1st 2nd and 3rd place shud be bigger
something like
1st - A STACK OF GOLD
2nd- A STACK OF.......iron
3rd- A STACK OF ................................................dirt

More of the prize, for a clan, would be the ability to say your can won the clan olympics, I would think. :P

If I were to have prizes it would be a sum of money for the 1st 2nd and 3rd place clans that gets added to their clans bank (if a team evenly split between players). That way it encourages working as a clan/team because it is not for one persons personal gain only.
