Hi there, most excellent admins!
I'd like to know if the admins would/could consider adding to famcraft survival the extraordinary, critically acclaimed Zipline Mod

I'm sure lots of famcraft users could do some amazing things with this. I know our Ewok Village would be infinitely cooler if we could use ropes, rope bridges, and zipelines. :)

Famcraft's Survival server doesn't support modifications that require the server to have forge, most likely because it would be too expensive and frustrating to do so.
However, if you can find a Minecraft 1.6.4 version of the mod you're suggesting, the administrators might consider adding it to our Feed The Beast pack found here: https://famcraft.com/index.php/topic,6998.0.html
(CLIENT-SIDE mods like Not Enough Items, Rei's Minimap and Optifine are okay to use because they do not require Minecraft multiplayer servers to have forge, as said above)

Hello!
Thank you for the suggestion but we not currently intend on adding any additional plugins. With each plugin we add we must depend upon those plugin devs to continue their work for all future updates.
Sadly, many developers eventually get tired and move on. When this happens it can leave us in a real lurch as we like to provide reliability and consistency to our players as far as which features they have available.
Thank you again for taking the time to post your suggestion. The plugin does look very interesting.

It has nothing to do with time, expense or frustration. We have Famcraft set up using the plugins we like. Additionally, we do not want young players or their families scrambling to figure out how to install additional things in order to be able to play a simple game of Minecraft.

We do offer Feed The Beast for those looking for more advanced gameplay, however, I would not count on any additional mods being added to the current Fampack. You would need to speak with Micahdg or SuperNova_2 about that, and those two stay quite busy.
