Dear Admin,

Pls can you understand that Xtremegamer45 had used /lock to lock his door so i couldnt leave and i was asking for him to unlock it. I do not understand why i was banned as i was incapable of leaving the cave/house. I am sincerely pleaing that you will understand, and lift my temp. ban. Icould not have used /spawn as an admin tped me to spawn then banned me immediatly after!

You are not being honest with us. The Minecraft server software logs all commands you type into its server log, and I have reviewed these logs. You did set a home inside XtremeGamer45's locked house, and 10 seconds later, when XtremeGamer45 asked you to not set a home there, you did not remove that new home you set. When staff got there to check it out, they sent you to spawn, but only 20 seconds after you were sent to spawn, you returned to that new home location you had set in XtremeGamer45's house just a minute before you were sent to spawn. After you returned to that home you were asked not to set, the staff member that was taking care of the issue sent you back to spawn again and then temp-banned you for three days.

I have removed the home you set in XtremeGamer45's house, and I feel that you should wait out the three day duration of the ban, because from the commands you issued, it's clear to me that you had no intention of leaving XtremeGamer45's area when you were asked to.

Sell your products/homes / Re: Xtreme's buy-a-biome!
« on: January 14, 2015, 12:56:03 PM »
Please remember that any biomes being sold should actually be owned by the seller, and not just found by the seller.

Biomes to be sold should be protected with PreciousStones protections (Diamond blocks). Anywhere in the biome that is not protected with a PreciousStones protection is considered public space, and anyone is allowed to build in the area as long as it follows our rules and guidelines about griefing and distance from other builds.

This also means that if you buy an unprotected biome from another player, it is the buyer's responsibility to protect the area with PreciousStones protections. For example: If a player buys an unprotected mesa biome and that player starts making a house on one of the mesas without protecting it themselves, and another player comes along and builds on a totally separate mesa in the same biome, there's not much that can be done, because the biome was not protected and the other player's build would have been far enough away from the buyer's build.

Bugs and glitches / Re: Error to play sound.
« on: January 12, 2015, 11:42:51 PM »
I'm not seeing this error myself, either. I've also got OptiFine, too.

It looks like there's some part of that log that's from another server, do you see it happen at all outside of Famcraft too, or only while on Famcraft?
Also, did you just start seeing these, or have you been seeing them for some time?

Do both you and Trent get those errors anywhere on the map, or just specific places?

Something to note though, these are just warnings, they aren't errors and should not have an effect on the game. I'm still interested in figuring it out though  :P

Bugs and glitches / Re: Server Lag
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:03:29 AM »
Many things can cause lag and time-outs from a home connection, such as a really poor wireless signal or someone in the house uploading videos to YouTube and other sites like it. Downloading lots of stuff can also cause lag and time-outs in certain cases as well.

If you're still having connection issues, check to see if you're using wifi. If you're using wireless, try using wired internet as a test and see if that fixes it. If you can't try that, going into the same room as your router or trying on a computer that is wired could work as a way to test if it's the wireless connection as well. If it still has problems on every computer you tried or on both wired and wireless connections, it would be a good idea to see if you or someone else is downloading or uploading a lot of stuff.

If it was a problem with the server, or its connection, everyone would be experiencing the same issue and we'd have an official notice about any issues that were happening.

Plea to be unbanned / Re: Unbann
« on: October 12, 2014, 04:37:13 PM »
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to plea.

You were correct about your reason for the temporary, three-day ban. I can see how this would look like you intentionally griefed to someone who came to the area after you left and because of that, I will pardon your temporary ban so that you may come back to the server now instead of in a few more days.

General Discussion / Re: Microsoft is buying Mojang

I, for one, would be very surprised if any of that happened, as it would not be in their best interest to do any of those.

What happens if Microsoft makes a very bad change to the game in the future and no one likes it and it add bad things. Will we still have to update famcraft or can we stay at the update we think would be best?

We'd be able to stay on the version that suits everyone best, if that were to happen. But like I said, given the amount of resources that are involved, I don't think that will be an issue.

Changes to the way the game client handles blocks and displaying the game world is partially what took a big chunk of time.

More developers doesn't always mean faster development times, however... Microsoft does have practically infinite resources to throw at Minecraft should they wish to. Overall, I think this will end up improving things.

All staff, from Helpers all the way up to Admins, have strict regulations and guidelines that we're to follow. In the case where I moved that stuff for you, it was because those chests and stuff were actually in your home. In the other case after that, no admin here would have removed those items, because if I am understanding correctly, that home was one that you had built for a player and gave to them.

The three-day ban was because you were becoming very, very persistent with your requests, after being told each time that those specific things would not be removed until the owner had been offline for much longer than 20 days.

Like RubensCherub said, 20 days is not very long for someone to be away, we generally like to wait at least 60 days before even considering doing anything, unless there's a very good reason not to wait that long (such as a player's stuff being inside your actual home).

Plea to be unbanned / Re: I'm sorry i broke some blocks
« on: July 27, 2014, 05:17:08 PM »
Thank you for taking the time to plea.

Given what happened, your plea seems reasonable so I have unbanned you. You're free to log back into the server now, but please remember that if you are at something that someone else made, it is not nice to break it even if you intended to fix it later!

Welcome back to the server  ;D

Famcraft Survival / Re: When dose the Survival Map update?
« on: July 15, 2014, 09:20:32 PM »
The server also has to wait on the plugins to update.  In some cases this can take a few weeks depending on the developers of the plugins.  It would be pointless to update the server if some of our plugins (like precious stones) would not work with the update.

Not quite sure they meant "when does the server update"  :P

I've started the update now, it'll be probably 8-12 hours before it finishes.

Plea to be unbanned / Re: Rcodes10 ban
« on: July 08, 2014, 11:42:15 PM »
After much discussion, we've decided to reduce your ban to a seven day ban, starting from when the original ban was placed. This means that, from the time of this post, there is six days and 19 hours remaining.

We've also patched that bug, so if it was an honest mistake on your part earlier today, accidentally doing that will have no effect in the future.
If it was actually intentional earlier today, then it won't matter if you do that again, so don't bother trying it out.

All things considered, I do hope, for everyone's sake, that these were accidental.
