Title: Xbox One Online Games
Post by: ProofBrush84350 on April 21, 2015, 07:29:16 AM
How do you join an online game with Xbox One ?  There is no option to add a Minecraft server or IP address, and when you start Minecraft, it states that there is no game to join.  Please help.

On Xbox One or any console version of Minecraft (Including but not limited to Playstations and Xbox 360s) you cannot join a Minecraft server. You will have to play Minecraft on a PC/Mac to join Famcraft.

Thank you PixelProne for your reply.  However, I was able to download (and purchase) 'Minecraft for Xbox One'.  How was this possible if I then can't join a Minecraft server ?  Especially as Xbox One "is made for multiplayer games" ?  I would greatly appreciate any advice you could offer.  Many thanks, ProofBrush.

The multiplayer games are for people with controllers playing at the same house in front of the Xbox. Unfortunately, FamCraft is on PC/Mac. You can download it by going to minecraft website, and pushing the buy now.

I'm sorry I missed this question. Thanks to those who replied. That is correct- you need pc edition Minecraft to connect to Famcraft and other public servers.
Console versions of Minecraft can only connect to other console versions and Pocket Edition can only connect to Pocket Edition games. this is usually done by connecting directly to another player's world on the console while they are online.
To be clear, this is not a choice Famcraft makes. It's just how the different versions work. In order to connect to Famcraft you will need the pc/mat version of Minecraft running version 1.7.10. Good luck!

Great !  Thanks RubensCherub and KawaiiGurl2003 and PixelProne.  The light has now dawned (you can tell I'm new at this).  Now that I know what to do, I hope to join you guys (on my PC) very soon.  I'll also use my Xbox to play with friends.  Thanks again and have a great day !  Kind regards, ProofBrush.

Hopefully if, and when, they release windows 10, we will be able to merge both platforms :o

I'm very excited for Windows 10, but slightly afraid too. IMO I dislike Windows 8.

I look forward to playing Famcraft on an Xbox One... If possible in the future. :D

I already have an Xbox One and Minecraft (Xbox One Edition).

I'm just waiting to move my Xbox One to my computer room after I get a custom PC so I can play Xbox and Famcraft at the same time :D

I have an Xbox One,  Xbox 360 (fan is slightly broken), Nintendo Wii-U, original Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 8-bit and 16-bit console, a Sega Genisis plus the original games for it.. Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd, etc.

I have original Nintendo 8-bit and 16-bit games, some are corrupted, or just plain broken due to no use for a year and a half. My friends and I made a console for them. Works perfectly fine... Most of the time.

Sega? O: :O

I'm looking to buy a sega, I have the 16bit and the original super nintendo with practically every game released for it. I will never sell that, but I would love an atari system and a sega genesis, even the sega gameboy :o

nuu i still play da sega XD  I can show you pics of the Nintendo console my friends and I remade (And the games) though :P

The Nintendo console we redid was a remake of the original 8-bit & 16-bit console (I think it was the NES. Not sure.)
Kind of like this one but a bit roughed up from playing Super Mario 2 & 3
