Post by: SuperLazer on May 16, 2016, 03:18:37 PM
I was wondering if the mod TabbyChat is allowed? Heres link with the info: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1286567-tabbychat-v1-10-00-smp-chat-overhaul (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1286567-tabbychat-v1-10-00-smp-chat-overhaul)

The mod is for 1.6.4 so I doubt it will work anyways. If you find a 1.8/1.9 version, probably.

I don't exactly agree with this mod. What's the point? You're going to wind up checking every single tab to get it to stop bugging you anyways, and I don't think it's very useful if you're in another chat tab and someone needs you but you can't see it. It may seem a bit negative, but I really don't see the point of the mod even if you do get it working, though it's not my decision as to whether or not you use it, so go ahead if the admins give you the green light on the mod.

I did find the 1.8.9 one :P. There's spellcheck that's the part I want.

I use the mod and I made it helpful. It makes chat look nicer with a cool boarder and the option to change the chat size. It compacts messages such as spam into 1 chat box. This is useful when you buy items in a shop. It allows you to log the chat. (Helpful as staff) The channels are helpful for messaging multiple players at once. You just hop in the tab with a msg  of one player and just type what you want to say (without the use of /r or /msg because it automatically does it) and the tab will only show the person you are msg-ing's chat. It also will make a noise that you can use for keywords. Example, I can use the keyword "Help" and it will make a anvil sound so I know to look. As for the beeping when you do not check the chat, that is an optional choice, just like everything else in the mod. Long story short, this mod is very useful. :p

Seeing as I'm always the anti-mod person... my only complaint is I'll miss all the silly typos.  Like... "Drew, can yo help me build this pork?"

Well, I normaly ignore when it says I have a type because I try to type fast... So you will always be seeing typos from me.

If you guys are having problems getting this to work with forge or even liteloader, i found a forge 1.8 version plus the core you need to make it work. Im posting this because i spent all morning yesterday trying to get the 1.8.9 forge and liteloader versions to work, but the liteloader itself didnt like the core mod (mnmuntils, told me to remove the offending mod and all dat.) and the forge version crashed every time (i dont know why), so here is the 1.8 forge version and core. i found these on a less used site and it was labeled under 'liteloader version' lol. They work great for me and hopefully you guys too. :D
