Hi! It's time for a NEW forum Alphabet game.
In this one, you have to create a new word by changing the least number of letters from the previous word, in order to create a new word. Words must be at least 3 characters long. You may add or subtract letters to complete your new word, or change their order... but remember to make as few changes as possible in letters to find the new word!
Example:
Hare
Dare
Ware
Wear
Tear
Hear
Heart
... etc...
The first word is:
GAME
-
Name
-
Fame
-
Lame
-
Lane
-
Chain
-
Chain
That changes the word too much.
but remember to make as few changes as possible in letters to find the new word!
Example:
Hare
Dare
Ware
Wear
Tear
Hear
Heart
The goal isn't to rhyme; it just ends up turning out that way a lot of the time.
I will proceed with "Lane".

Laid (is that even a word? lol.)
Yes, it is a word. It is the past perfect tense of "to lay". For example, "I have laid the books on the table for you."
My word is "Lain" (which happens to be the past perfect tense of "to lie". For example, "I have lain on a bed for the past few hours")

So, the next person to post has a choice: "Frail" or "Hail".

Nope. Landed -> Slanted only makes two changes - It adds a letter and changes a letter.

You're right, Rowan. We are trying to change just 1 letter, or to re-arrange the letters (or both). But we want to avoid changing 2 or 3 letters. Probably about 95% of the time this will be possible :)

You used this same word yesterday Ohai (and it changes 3 letters)... So we'll pick up with the word Straps
I know posts go fast in this game, but everyone please try to stick to the rules:
1) Try not to repeat words (at least within the same page)
2) Try to change, add, or remove only 1 letter at a time (sometimes it's not needed at all).
3) You can rearrange letters into a different order.
If you can't think of a valid answer, that's ok. Just wait a little while and see if someone else can provide an answer. It can be fun to see what other people come up with when you get stuck. :)
Thanks!
