Ok, so my chrome doesn't let me get on the IRC thing, and I've screen-shot the settings

Mia, there's a thing with Chrome that doesn't like IRC for some reason.  When you go to the 'Chat' tab above, if you just see emptiness where there should be chat, click the silver shield in the top right corner, next to the bookmark. Click 'load unsafe script' (don't worry, it's safe) and there you go. :) Type your username and chat away!

The only thing is that you have to do it every time you join IRC

For the record, she knew she was looking for a shield, she just posted here to prove to me that it wasn't there. But it was there  ;D
