This topic has been on my mind the past few days so i decided to open it up to you guys.
Please share with us what made you chose your username, what influenced you to pick the name you have.
And also share why your skin is what it is.
I'll start
I chose "vespamartio" because when i bought my minecraft account, it was the end of summer and I had just spent all summer in a summer camp. It was fun and one game we played was... a game... and there were motorcycles in the game. Everyone was always fighting over them and saying "NO, My vespa" and it just got stuck in my head and i made that the first part of my name...
The "martio" part of it is simply because i like Mario but i didn't want to use the just the name so i made it unique :>
My skin is simply because i was a noob at the time i chose it and i thought diamonds were the COOLEST thing so i searched up a bunch of diamond skins and picked this one :>

When i first started playing minecraft, i used to play under the name "Cakefortwo" -- which is an old username Jim and I created for our wedding blog (as in, a slice of wedding cake to share between two people?) But since we had to keep putting off the wedding, the blog i had made with the same name, turned into my random blog instead, and i began posting whatever.
Realizing that was a silly name to join servers with, I ended up making a new account with the name "Boysandghouls". It's a (punny?) way of saying "Boys and Girls", but girls is "Ghouls" because i love me some zombies ;D
My skins sort of evolved into what they are. At first, i was Ghoulia Yelps from Monster High (a skin i'd made myself), and then i became obsessed with FTB and wanted to make a steampunk city with all the cool mods. So my skin turned into a steampunk girl. I loved her goggles and hair, as I hadn't seen any other "girl" skin with them, and decided to keep them when i changed my outfits :P
I tend to edit my outfits to fit the holiday (and sometimes my hair color) but the goggles, and the wavy hair is kind of my thing now :P

For my username, well I kinda started watching PauseUnpause and he has an Indian skin, and my favorite Indian that lived was Chief Crazy Horse so I started formulating Indian names with Chief Crazy and well... ChiefCrazyCow got my attention so I picked it, and the Indian skin I saw fitting to the name.

Well... Mine is because my fave character in History is Cleopatra and that created the first halff of my name. My numbers are just coz i was born is 2003 so that made it Cleopatra03

For my username I picked madgaz because my nick-name (IRL) is Gaz, and I just added the mad on to make it look a bit cool 8)

My first account, somehobo365 was just random and then I lost it. Made another account put "Famcraft" in it because this is really the only server I like because of the community :D and then Hobo in it because of previous said account.
My skin was chosen because I love the Vault Boy from a game...

Username: On all my previous accounts on everything else (Baseball Websites, Console games, Steam, etc) I had always used some variation of "Baseballfreak" such as BAS3BALLFR3AK or Bas3ballfr33k etc. Because I uhh... love baseball. When I was first introduced to Minecraft by Chris and his friends, I was bored to tears. After seeing Chris' friend get a minecraft account, he was too young to create his own account, so his Father made it for him as a present I think, and named it his name (his father's name) Mark_Pfeifer, with an underscore :D So when I created my username it was either Bas3ballfr33k or some variation, or Luke_Bruck. I sometimes enjoyed it when players called me "Baseball" but it got pretty old on Steam, consoles, etc. I wanted to be called Luke so I chose Luke_Bruck.
Skin: I wanted a custom skin that everyone could remember me by, and that resembled me, so I edited a skin I found into what I like. The skin absolutely had to have orange orange orange in it. My favorite animal is a Squirrel so the top of my skin has a Squirrel's face on it :P

When I first joined minecraft, I brainstormed for account names. I had some other accounts in which my user was "mrchris6800" because Steam randomly picked the numbers and I thought it looked cool. I made an account with that name, but I registered a made-up email and my Mom thought it wouldn't be wise not to have a real one. So, I was 13 at the time and I just put that at the end (since I couldn't change the email on the other account, it wasn't real :P).
Now, you may all be wondering why "Mr" is on the front of my name. My Dad has called me "Mr. Christopher" for a long time, longer than I can remember, and I thought it was kinda cool. I like being called "Chris" more than "Christopher" (although both names are pretty much the best words ever in the universe) and so I subsiquently became "MrChris13".
Okay, so then I went around on websites looking for the coolest skin I could find, I don't really remember having anything other than "Flash" and I think I had "Superman" at one time too. Anyway, I was playing one day thinking about my favorite superhero's. I was like, "So who would look the coolest as a Minecraft character?" I've always loved Captain America because of how buff and nice he is. So, I was like "Oh my gosh! This is the best skin ever!" when I found one I liked. (It had a shield on it, but then somehow I lost my skin and could only find one without a shield :/)
So yeah! That's how it happened from start to end :P
For those who don't wanna read all that: I picked MrChris13 because Mr. Christopher is my nickname IRL, and Captain America is my favorite super hero so I picked that :P.

Picked Rundrop for... uhh... bvftbhggfvbnjgjfy. And that's everything you need to understand why Rundrop was such a great name, and has impacted everything ever. (Don't even remember, it was like in 2005 xD)
And I picked a Cyclops skin because I found this one skin that was a Titan, which made me think of my passion for greek myths and legends at the time, and the COOLEST person in greek mythology is polyphemus, But I couldnt even find a Cyclops skin let alone a polyphemus skin. So I tried my hardest to create a skin I liked. And back before the 2nd layer of the head still didn't move when you crouched, my skin had this weird thing where it would smile. lol. I liked my skin so much, and was so proud of it, that I decided this skin suited me, and that I would change clothes and stuff in other skins but I would always stay cyclops.

First of all this is my first Minecraft account, so i was pretty newbie at minecraft when i chose the name "HaydenTheBuilder" I chose this name bc i knew minecraft involved building and i like building stuff (like lego) & my name IRL is Hayden. So ya.
My skin was a CookieMonster in a suit for a few months (I randomly found it) then my friend showed me this cool skin so i have that skin until now.

Before I started playing Minecraft, I had played a game called Combat Arms, and I had used the name MrBretRosin, as (obviously) Bret Rosin is muh nam. (Cuz I are not creative.) People would always call me Mr Rosin, so I used it for my minecraft account, but MrBretRosin was taken, so I just decided to put x's on the beginning and end cuz I thought it looked kinda cool. Now it's just like meh. Y'know? :P I kinda wish I could change my minecraft username to BretBuscus, but I don't see any point in buying a new account for a game I don't really play much anymore. So lol. My story. ^
My skin is what it is because I'm a huge fan of Tobuscus. I haven't changed it in over a year now, except for holiday versions of it. It was custom made by someone, and edited by me to closely match the one that Tobuscus himself uses, with the exception of the large B on the front and the fact that it's cyan and not lime green.

my name is from an old MUD (mutli-user dimension or dungeon) for those of you to young to know what this is it is a text based adventure game that us old people played when the internet first came out and all we had was dial up internet. :P it was the name of my chaotic-evil priest. to get the name i wrote down the alphabet and randomly made 10 marks on the paper with my eyes closed and then out of those ten letters i made a list of names. Greban seemed to fit the idea of the character i had in my head. ever since then any gaming i do my username is always Greban. its become my internet persona of sorts.
my skin was Link from the Legend of Zelda games because i loved those games so much. However i have recently changed it to a highly customized demon skin as i am the FTB fiend! <insert evil laugh here...> 8)

When I first bought mc, I was so exited. Then it said "choose a username" and I sat there thinking ??? So then I remember watching smoshgames play mc and their
Names were Real_smosh Ian and stuff. So I said. "Why not" my name is Andrew and my last initial is H, so BAM, RealAndrewH was born,
For my skin, I used to be a skeleton. then one day I went on FC and opened my inventory. I WAS A STEVE!! What? So I went on and tried to get my skin back. I only found a replacement, which is a skelly in a suit. Turns out the reason for the Steve was a bad login :p

My skin was chosen after we had found out about the Zorro seiries from the Bruck boys. I liked him as a hero, and the skin worked. Plus I made it myself. :)

For my game name: When naming my online accounts I usually use either Fluffinuter or miacamp, and for minecraft I decided to use miacamp for some reason. The name miacamp was created because my IRL nickname is Mia and Camp is the last four digits of my last name :P. For those wondering where Fluffinuter comes from- I have no idea xD
For my skin: I used to play on my brothers' minecraft account, and never really thought about getting my own until I saw a skin on skindex that was a "DJ Turtle" (basically a silly looking turtle with headphones). I LOVE turtles, I actually have a turtle named Dribbles, and so I bought my own account just so I could be a DJ Turtle. After a while, I decided I was bored with DJ Turtle, and just looked up "girl skin" and found one that I liked. Recently, I learned how to edit skins, so I made it look more like me. I'm planning to change it a bit more as well. :D

So way back in the days when the Nintendo 64 had only been out for a few months I was at a friends house and he was showing me The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In said game, he used the name eGI for his character. A couple months later when I got my N64 for my birthday I also got Ocarina of Time, and when it came time to choose a character name I couldn't think of anything so I went with egijr. This was soon followed by me using egijr for AOL Instant Messanger back when I used that, and over time egijr just became my default internet name. After many years (read somewhere between 10 and 15 years later) I started using egijr and eGI interchangably and adopted both names instead of just egijr.
As for my skin, when I first joined the server I was a Steve and Anna kept pestering me to go and get a skin. So one day the server had to go down for about 20 minutes to fix something so in that time I created my own skin with its beautiful crazy eyes and spent the next month or so freaking out Anna. The skin stuck, Anna grew used to my face and now just needs someone to make her a resource pack that givens pumpkins my eyes.

Well the my user name thelonelyone67 was made well because at the time I was truly lonely, Now a days I just go by Tavi and dislike it when anyone calls me lonely or my full user.
Now my skin, Link from Legend of Zelda is well because I grew up with a N64 with a lot of games but Ocarina of Time was my fave one.

Me Lightbulb2001 is hard to come up with 1st i was bored and was staring at a lightbulb so i thought lightbulb was a good name but it was already taken so i did lightbulb2001 cause i was born in the year 2001
The skin story i bought a skin creator for my ipod and just goofed around till i got a skin that i liked :)

1869_Flame
well 1869 is From 1869*_Clan that i made back around 2006. I had multiple gameservers running for a shooter game (promo servers for a german gameserver rental company)
For that game i also made some maps.
The servers i was running together with someone else, but he passed away on cancer at the age of just 26.
As some kind of memorial i decided to keep 1869 in my username whenever i play a game online.
The skin i made myself, trying to make it look like flames and fire :D

My brother is the one who got me into minecraft so he had the acount in the the first place but then I started playing and we would use the same acount but we would play on different servers. My brother likes domo so he chose Domsters931. Now since I play on famcraft I changed my name to what I liked there for Skier_Dude.
I have only chose a skin once and I only had it for a little while. My current skin is my favorite because it just kind of fits my style. I just thought it looked really good when I found it.
I'm sure many of you think this isn't the best reason but I bet all of you have done the same thing at one time or another

My name is drewsmagic because my real name is andrew but some people called me drew and i started to like it. The magic part im sure most of u know. But ill tell you again. I have always loved magic. From learning to showing friends and family to preforming for my class in SCHOOL! For about 1 hour to 1 hour 1/2. Thats alot of tricks. So i became drewsmagic.
My skin... Well who doesn't like monkeys? Monkeys are da bomb! But i found the skin on a website but it was red not green. And because ma favorite color is lime green i changed it. And added a cool t-shirt design and a shoe design.

Well, when creating my name I took a nickname that some people call me, "Nova" and added "Super" to it. Then I realized that Super+Nova=SuperNova=Exploding star :o Finally I added _2 because that was the number I was assigned on my current soccer team.
My skin's head is just a part of a deadmau5's head that I slapped on a Daft Punk helmet. I will change the rest of my skin on special occansions (Miss Ghoul's and Arch's Wedding, Halloween, etc.).

I got lightbulb2001 from when I was thinking of a username I looked up and saw a lightbulb XD but it was already taken, so I added 2001 (my birthday year) and that's my username ;)

My first username was SomaSakamoto which I lost in a tragic cave fire. The name Auzeru was derived from Asura and was used for a character I drew with white hair and the inability to dress himself properly. (And horns!) The skin initially had white hair horns and purple eyes, And the clothing varied from a victorian suit with a purple overcoat, to the usual drooping white shirt. Eventually I remembered my love of steampunk things so I wanted to come up with something that embodied steampunk as well as Auzeru, So I slapped some steampunk duds and fancy gauntlets on him and threw in Auzeru's Trademark bangs.

Yo, it's my turn. My name is SuperDude38. I picked this name because I am Superman and I am a Dude who is 38 centuries old. My skin is a 4 dimensional worm hole that is trapped in a 7 dimensional worm hole that is 10 times bigger than the 4 dimensional one. I picked this skin because it makes me feel smart.
But srsly, my name is fuz7ybob. My skin is an army man from the future that is secretly from the present. So... it is just an army man. I chose this name and skin because I have a soft spot for fuzzy animals (laugh at me if you want), 7 is a lucky number and "bob" is just a common name. My name isn't actually Robert. I chose my skin because my childhood consisted of going to the park, and playing with those green, little army guys-dudes.

Well. I guess it should be my turn then.
I got this game when it was in Beta 1.4. or roughly...2 years ago? Maybe more, maybe less. I chose the Super in my name because it just sounded cool to me at the time. I chose Mickey because my grandma had 2 cats we called Mylo and Tuffy. They were kittens when we got them and we just liked the names cause it fit their sizes. Eventually, Tuffy disappeared, we don't know what happened to him, but he is missing, we decided to change Mylo's name since it was kind of...babyish. I don't know a better term. We decided to change the cat's name to Mickey. That's where I got the Mickey in my name, not from Mickey Mouse XD.
I chose the 24 in my name because it was my favourite number at the time, and I thought the username Supermickey24 looked cool.
I don't really have a favourite number anymore, but I still have a bit of <3 for 24.
My skin that I usually wear, (not the suit skin I wear atm.) is the skin I made. I first made a skin that was very similar to it for a contest. I won 3rd place :D. I later got a new PC and forgot to add my skin folder to my USB stick. So I lost the skin, but I made a replica off my memory for the skin. So that's my story lol

Thus begins the story!
My name as some of you already know is bknysnake, this stands for Brooklyn New York snake. When I was younger, at the age of ^ageless, I started training for kick boxing, I then got interested in tae kwon doe, finally went into boxing. I started to box professionally at a local gym. After a few fights, I then joined a competition. The competition required I win 10 fights out of 18. I figured I would win the fights as the people I used to fight at my gym were fairly easy, so I figured these guys would be the same. Each fight was 5 rounds 3 minutes each round. I won the first 7 fights, 2 out of lucky KO's. On my 8th fight, I was approached by what looked to me as a robot. I won't lie, I thought this was a lose for me, first round, after about 2 minutes and a half, he hit me with a punch I would never forget, I was very close to hitting the ground, but I managed to get my balance together. 2nd round he hit me with the same punch half way through, and I fell on the ground, thinking to myself I should just give up, the punches were really hard, instead I got back up, the round ended, and my trainer told me to not let him in. 3rd round, I figured to keep a look out for that punch and avoid it at all cost. As I expected, he swung with his right trying to land that same punch, but I managed to sneak a punch through that knocked the opponent flat out on the ground. This punch earned me the name snake. After that fight, I forfeited the competition, and quit boxing because I felt this sport was a bit too much for me, I figured this guy could make me feel this way, what would other boxers I would meet along the way make me feel like? lol. I was born in Brooklyn New York, leaving me with the name bknysnake.
As for my skin, I've always been the type of guy that likes to have fancy clothe in games lol, so I looked for a skin with a suit.

dcm is the initials in my name, 121 is random :P and kd 35 is my favorite basketball players initials and number. (Kevin Durant number 35 :P)

I share this account with my sister. We couldn't, for the life of us, agree on a name. So my dad was chosen to chose the chosen name. Since we are both girls xD, and our last name is Funk..FunkGirl was born! I originally had a more..covering?...skin. xD I had edited it from one I really like to look more like me. Then TheLone1yHermit (absolutely amazing at skin work) was like, "I dislike your skin and shall make you a better one!" He suceeded. But I changed the shoes. xD

Err, well, my first account, (Until I lost it) was called 1ST_Miner. When I first started Minecraft I LOVED mining. The thrills! The ores! The occasional bit where I get lost! When I lost my account, I thought about the usually things I said, and "Awesome" was the one, so I put together Awesome and Miner, (Also I added "the" just because :P)
For my skin, I wasn't very original, or creative, so I looked around for AGES looking for one a like. I came across this one skin, I thought it was the best skin ever! So I got it.

I chose my username, well actually, I didn't, my dad did. If I would have chose my username, it would be The_Ender_Mage. My skin is an enderman with white eyes and wearing a robe. I chose this because I also thought it looked cool and fitted my style a mysterious and outgoing personality. Btw, my name isn't Wilson IRL. I can't tell you what it is. So there you go, my Minecraft account. I didn't want my name, but what can you do.
Is there a way to change your name? Guess we'll never know.

Username: well, first of all, I like the Eragon book series. Oringinaly, it was shade_slayer01, but then I changed it to TheDragonRider01 because, well, this guy, Eragon, he slayed a Shade, and he rides a dragon.
Skin: well, I really like making skins, so I decided to make my own. Its a knight with partially golden armor and his face looks like mine :O. I decided on a knight because that guy, Eragon, well he wears armor and looks kinda like a knight.

I was a little kid that wanted to get minecraft. I talked with my dad about the name, for some reason, Diamonds10368 came up, I was a kid that wanted to be a diamond. I have like 4 different skins that I still wear. Well more like 3. The first skin I had is STEVE. Of course it'd be Steve. Then I went skin searching and found a skin that looked kinda cute. At a later time I colored that skin with my fav color and put a rainbow on it. That is my normal skin. Then I changed my skin to a book character I shall not say. Then I changed it back, Then I decided to find a skin that represents Nike. I have a fascination for the goddess Nike and love the brand. So I found the skin on Planet Minecraft, it looked cool, and I got the skin. (Thats the one I'm wearing now) Oh and once I found a skin that didnt work, and I was practically a person that looked like a ninja with a face under the chin.
And my new name, well my freind gave me the nickname and I used it.

Um. No idea where I got my old username from.
But my new one was created when I looked around my room and adding Games or Plays to the end of it. I looked at my TV (Vizio ofc) and looked up the name. VizioPlays was a thing but VizioPlayz wasnt. When I went to change my name VizioPlayz wasn't taken but I used 'Plays' instead bc in my texturepacks Z looks like SS together.
I got my skin from a kind person who game me the idea of cutting my hair and getting it dyed a deep brown and red ends (Before I knew how to shade) and I made it look like me but with instead, red hair and shorts. (I cant stand wearing shorts irl :p)

My username was from my cats, Socks and Stormy. The 1... idk. But, I thought like "Socks won, AND Stormy won!"
So I went from there. My skin, well, I have had LOTS of skins. My very first skin was a youtuber (Cant say Who's) skin as a girl. I then started making my own skin, and watched many vids on how to shade hair, and that stuff. I sooner or later found a liking to making skins, and the skin I have now (My blue, green, and yellow skin) is because I luv those colors, and the skin represents me.

I whip up a new username whenever I move. The pattern is always something, with the numbers from my street address. The street address bit came from some time ago, when I picked "lordvader139" as a username. That summer, I moved with my family to New Jersey, where the street address happened to be 139. It kind of stuck, and when I moved here last year, I came up with "bakagamer918" as my current username.
As for my skins, I have a rather large library of skins, mostly from assorted anime that I watch, and I switch between whenever I feel like it.

The username comes from my first name and middle names (Clair Evie Ann). So I slapped them together and got cevieann.
My skin is a girl with shorts and pinkish flip flops, a pink flower shirt, pink hair with a flower "crown." (I love pink)
