I learned about a week ago from Jordan (StitchAKA626) that Minecraft worlds on the PC edition have limits. It goes until 30 million blocks, and then you get to a place called the "Farlands". If you go into them, you can't move, your arm goes all weird on you, and there aren't any blocks.
It really devastated me to learn this, I always thought that as long as you have more space on your harddrive, you have more space in your Minecraft world. I know that 30 million blocks is a lot and it would take years to build/traverse all that land, but still. It's really disappointing.

Well it is forever, there is just a point (the farlands) where you wouldnt even really be able to play, you can still build there (Kinda), the farlands now are nothing like the farlands in beta where it is just a wall you cant get around. You can still keep going through the farlands.

Chris, Minecraft has been like this since the early stages. I know for sure there were Farlands in beta, but I'm not so sure about alpha. I think there were.

true. there's a youtube series called FarLands or Bust, where this player tries to get to the farland without dying. check it out :)

Rundrop, I've been there. It just stops loading the chunks, and if you go in it, whether you're in creative or survival, you can't move unless you teleport out. Minecraft worlds aren't forever.

There's no wall, but there are no chunks either. There might as well be a wall.

I'd prefer a wall over emptiness, cause if you were in survival and ever made it to he farlands (doubtful) it would be pretty hard to get out if you walked into it and didn't have cheats on...

Once you reach the border of the farlands on famcraft, you get teleported to the other side of the world.

I teleported myself there and just got stuck, Micah. lol
