So recently, my PC has been turning off at random times when im playing Minecraft. With no warning, it just turns off. So i did a virus check, it found no viruses, cleared some useless files, (like 10GB) and Minecraft is still crashing my computer. FYI, im using windows xp. Can anyone help with this?

I had this problem about a year and a half ago when I was still using Windows XP. It turned out that the computer was overheating. The way we fixed it was by opening the computer case and cleaning about the two-inch layer of dust in front of the fan preventing it from moving. So, perhaps check your fan?

A little while ago I had it where my mouse on my lap top froze but the computer or windows didn't. It was weird. Luckily we fixed it

yeah, thats probably it, i normally do that every 2-3 months, i last remember doing it last year. lol

Yea it's most likely the computer overheating. Try cleaning out your PC, and if experienced you might need to add thermal paste on the processor.
The computer just turns off to prevent it from burning out.
