For my birthday last Saturday, i turned 25, and decided to do something i've ALWAYS wanted to do...
.:: Dye my hair funky colors! ::.
So with the help of Thearchitekkit and my mum, we started dyeing it for the first time ever!
First of all, we had to bleach it to remove all the brown, that way my color would come out bright instead of dark and dull:

(I may not look happy, but i took that picture right after waking up, lol)
So later on, we added in the dye. I was told to expect that my hair would come out lighter than the color on the bottle, but it actually stayed pretty dark! :O

There are definitely some spots that didn't take the dye as well as others (around my hairline where i had the vaseline to keep it from dyeing my skin) but overall, i'm super super happy with how it came out!

I LOVE it!!!! Oh my gosh! You look BEAUTIFUL! You picked the prettiest color to go with too! What is the color called, if you don't mind me asking? (Envy Green?) I LOVE it! Do you love it? Do you plan to keep the bright colors? Will you be sticking with this, or trying other colors? Is this ManicPanic?
I try to keep mine Manic Panic Vampire Red, but have been seriously considering venturing into hot pinks/ greens (nervous about bleaching! I dye over dark hair). You may be just the inspiration I need! I also want to try their Amplified line that is supposed to be even longer lasting, the plain High Voltage colors seem to last a long time too.
The color you have is incredible! It looks so great with your skintone/eyes/ hair-style! Just WOW! I think this is probably the best gift anyone can give themselves- self expression! Congrats!

I love the blueish-greenish hair colour :D. I have a friend who has hair just like that, but a lot longer hair, I also have a teacher who has a color similar to that, but just in streaks. :D

@Anna -- The color is RAW's "Twisted Teal" from Hot Topic, and i bleached it with Raw's "White-Out" kit. It came with everything (all the chemicals, a brush, and gloves), although if you have more hair than I do (especially if it's dark) get the 40v, and get TWO kits @_@ there was barely enough to do mine with!
I've got about half a bottle left over of dye, so i can touch up roots and such, but i do plan on doing different colors later. My mum and I were talking about adding some blue streaks here and there, or even adding in a soft fade to purple on the tips -- but we'll have to see :D I'd love to eventually do some kind of rainbow or ombre fading to different colors, but it's going to be a while XD

Oohh! I have never got to try RAW. I would love to try it out someday. The color is so vivid and pretty! In the meantime, I've been very happy with Manic Panic, which I order from Amazon or buy locally at the beauty supply shop. Sadly, our nearest Hot Topic is not very close :(
