This is a game not unlike many of the "guess how many of such-and-such item are in the jar." Except this is a contest to see who can get the closest guess to how many blocks long my mine will be by the time this contest is finished, which will be on 3/31/2015. You have 20 days to guess. Each person may only guess once; any later guess will be removed.
Here is the only hint I am giving. You may, if you wish, look this up on the forum map on your own, but bare in mind that the map has not been updated for a few months. Any post here that isn't a guess by someone who has not already guessed before will be removed to reduce clutter and to make my job easier. The winner of this contest will receive an item whose value reflects how many people participated in this. In other words, the more people that participate, the higher value the prize will be for winning. Again, this picture and the fact that my mine starts at x = 131,275 and goes East (positive x) are my only hints. Good luck and have fun.

Guys, just saying that the ludicrously high guesses that I'm seeing (1m+ for example) will count as the guess for that particular person (i.e any later guesses will be removed) but will not be counted towards the participation score to determine the prize. For those of you who guessed 1m+, I suggest you modify your guesses to be smaller.
As a further "hint", consider this: One minecraft block is equal to one cubic meter. This means that 1,000,000 blocks is 1,000 kilometers, which is also about 621.4 miles. Going 65 miles an hour on the interstate, it would take nearly 10 hours. Consider this in minecraft terms. 1,000,000 blocks for a 1x2 mine would be 2,000,000 blocks mined at the very least. If it takes 1 second per block (this is accounting for various caves where a person would not mine as many blocks per unit of time) on average to mine a single piece of stone, this would take about 555 hours to mine at a minimum. If a person mined an hour a day exactly, it would take over a year and a half to accomplish this, and remember this is an absolute minimum not accounting for ores that may appear on the walls, ceiling, or floor of the 1x2 mine or blocks mined in various caves along the way. 555 hours would also be equivalent to over 23 days of ontime completely devoted to mining. Now, despite my ontime being one of the highest on the server (over 108 days), I do not spend nearly 25% of my time on the server mining. So, please, do try to make reasonable guesses.
Edit: I will now be removing any guesses that are 1m+

How about... 340,012. Oh and I have a question. Are the guesses are for how many blocks you pick up or how many blocks you traveled?

Good Question. Thank you for asking. The question is for how many blocks I traveled. So, I stated that my mine started at x = 131,275. If my mine were to end at x = 243,186 (disclaimer: this is just an example, not the real answer), that would be 111,089 blocks long.
Edit: You're welcome, CevieAnn. I am happy to clarify anything relating to the contest. I am removing anything that isn't a guess. Unfortunately, this includes your "OK thanks" post, although I am glad you found this explanation satisfying.

Around 600,000
(The guess is just for fun, I don't care much for any prizes as I can always build something awesome similar.)
Edit: Rowan is like a god at math xD

499,000 8)
-
630,000 :D

I did some of the math (Crazy, right?) and, the only answer i could come up with was
BUM BUM BUUUM...
