Title: Building

Hey famcrafters! I decided to post this to ask for your help/opinion. I'm not the best builder and also not the worst :P I'm trying to build a new house based on a IRL wooden one. Its actually pretty hard :-X! I'll try to post a pic of it but I would just like some advice! :-\ like what materials should I use ect. If you like to see the house I started so far just mail me or reply ;D thanks

I think maybe you should use cobblestone steps for the roof, just regular wood blocks for the house, brick for the base. Maybe for the porch railing you could use fence

Thanks! :) i tryed nether brick stairs and it looks kinda weird... so ima try cobble instead :P

If you can hold off until the server updates to 1.8, you can use birch fences for the railing.

For the roof I think mainly cobble but then a quartz slabs(or stairs) trim on it would look nice :o
