So, in my Computer Organization class in college, we've been learning about digital logic, and just today we learned how to add binary numbers using logic gates, so I decided to see whether I could make one on Minecraft! It works! It's a 4-bit binary number adder, and I wanted to share my excitement with all y'all :D
In the picture below, it is currently set to 11+13=24. 11 and 13 are shown on top of the adder, and 24, the answer, is shown on the ground next to the adder.

Das Cray! :o ;D

Nice! Will tit be a full size computer?
-
I might build a computer next, but for now, this project is finished :P

This is really nice. I'd like to see you make a working Minecraft calculator one day. Also- will you be making a iron farm for Prose?

At some point, yes. It may not be for a little while, though. And a Minecraft calculator may be my next redstone project. It would do addition, subtraction, and multiplication (but not division), and you would be able to enter numbers in up to 2^32 (really big).

I look forward to the iron farm, and seeing the calculator in action!

wow! You sure do know how to work redstone! Its really cool that you know how to do stuff like that! The coolest thing I've ever built with redstone was my minecart vending machine XD

I made a much more compact version of this same machine in a different world tonight.

Doesn't that frustrate you in the slightest, realising you've messed up and have to look everywhere for the tiny little error?
-
If you're doing it right, it's not too hard to follow the redstone and see what's going wrong - this becomes easier the more compact a machine is - but if you're not doing it right, then it's probably best to just start over lol

This is a amazing project!

Rowan Is So amazing at these types of things. Even math. (Rowans ign, mathfreak2, it explains it ;) ) :)
