The Hardest Riddle??

My friend gave me a riddle yesterday and I cannot solve it for the life of me! I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out. Here's the riddle:

I'm up when I'm up
I'm down when I'm down
A thump when a smile
A flick when a frown
The opposite side to the wife of a king
A vessel of venom that kills with a sting.

So that's it. The second last line refers to a queen (obviously) but I'm trying to figure out what kind of queen has an opposite side. Along with the last line, it might refer to something along the lines of a queen bee? Something? I don't know; I'm totally stumped. Can someone who's good at riddles help me out a bit? Thanks

haha lol no. But my friend said it definitely has to do with a queen, and that "queen bee" was close, but not exactly it. I feel like maybe a couple of the lines are just to throw you off?

My friend told me that the answer of the riddle was "tail". Can you guess why?

   ~ When dogs are happy (or smiling), they kind of thump it back and forth. When they're unhappy (frowning) they flick the tip of it back and forth quickly.
   ~ The wife of a king is a queen, but it refers to the Canadian coin which has a queen on it. The opposite side is tails.
   ~ A scorpion's stinger is also called a tail.
   ~ The "up when up" and "down when down" is kind of to throw you off. Tails can be up or down, therefore they're either up or down.

This is one of the best riddles I've heard in a long time.
