There should be a redstoner job.
placing redstone stuff gets you money,
breaking it makes you lose money.
Mining redstone ore gives you money.
miner+redstoner=More money for mining redstone ore.

We've thought about this, but we can't do it because when you place redstone and put water, it breaks it without subtracting the money from you. So you just go on and on getting money, it would be tedious, but people would definitely exploit it :I

Also without paying for the act of putting down redstone, it doesn't leave a lot to pay a redstone worker for doing. Are you going to make a million repeaters? or pistons? I suppose it's no worse than people making millions of fishing poles, I guess Hmm..

I guess pay for:

Mine:
Redstone ore
Quartz

Place:
Maybe some of the stuff, but should be very low pay (like farmer sugarcane)

Craft:
Piston
Sticky piston
Repeater
Comparitor
Hopper

kill:
Slime


To be honest, this doesn't sound like a bad job to me.
Nobody hardly sells this stuff in shops anyway now, and most of these craftables take a lot of resources, so they wont be super easy to make.
So i dont think you can easy sit at a spawner to get the recourses or anything.
