Melon glitch

When ever I trigger my melon farm, all of it just turns into one or two melons rather than a lot of them going everywhere.

When you pick up the melon slices, how many are you getting now?

You should be getting the same amount you got before. The only difference is that the slices are being grouped more aggressively into item stacks. Please let your farm completely regrow, harvest it with the pistons, and report back with how many slices you received in total and how many melons were in the farm.
