You can't sell from the storage rooms. The idea behind them is either to A) be a place for you to keep extra items to sell in your shop, or B) as a place to store certain items you want to store in bulk but do not have a good place to store them (like storing cobble cause you know you'll need it down the road for a build, but you don't want to keep it at your base cause it takes up too much room).
