You are in single player mode, and down to 1 hunger bar. You have only 1 piece of uncooked beef left. You have a furnace, but no coal / logs / lava buckets to cook your beef with. You currently have 18 diamonds in your inventory. There is 1 piece of coal ore hanging at the other side of a lava pool. You make your way across there, but run out of blocks to place when you are but 4 blocks away.
