You accidentally jump into a hole with active TnT in it that you can't get out of and die from the resulting explosion (I did that in Single Player Survival one time T.T)

Quartz Block

You are in the nether in your Quartz base. Then a ghast comes. It fires a fireball that hits the side of your base, that was not finished. The damages were costly.
Sponge

IronBlu:
you spend days filling a 200x200x200 area with water but then a griefer comes and uses sponges to soak up all the water. All that hard work...
