New idea: Once a day (or once a week or whenever I remember), I will post a random family friendly fact. To start, here are a few facts on everyone's favorite element, Helium

-Helium is a finite resource on earth, formed in natural gas pockets near uranium deposits

-Helium is the second most abundant element in the known universe.

-Although use as a lift gas for balloons and airships is probably the most well known, Helium is primarily used as a cryogenic gas and for arc welding.

Oh oh, i has one! It's about Iron (not u IronCreeper  ).

-Iron is by mass the most common element on Earth forming most of the Earth's outer and inner core
-Iron is the fourth most common element in the Earth's crust
-It's symbol is Fe
-The atomic number for Iron is 26
-Iron is placed in the Periodic Table in between Manganese and Cobalt -Manganese->Iron->Cobalt OR Mn->Fe->Co
-Iron is usually found mixed with Manganese and Cobalt
-Iron's melting point is approximately 2,800 degrees Fahrenheit (1538 Celsius) and the boiling point is roughly 5,180 degrees Fahrenheit (2862 Celsius)

Here's some stuff on Uranium

-Uranium has 92 as it's atomic number, and it's symbol is U

-It is the second heaviest element naturally occurring on Earth (although plutonium was first synthesized in a lab, trace amounts were later discovered in nature)

-In metal form, it is slightly radioactive, emitting alpha particles.

-It is more dense than lead, but not as dense as gold or tungsten

-Apart from military uses and for nuclear power, uranium is used for stains and glazes in uranium glass, tile, and pottery, and has some specialized uses in science

-The half life of uranium ranges between 69 and 4.5 billion years, depending on isotope

-Uranium plays a part in natural Helium production on earth. Alpha particles are identical to Helium 4 nuclei, containing two protons and two neutrons. If an alpha particle picks up two electrons from the environment, it becomes a helium atom

Livermorium is element 116, with an atomic mass of 293. It is produced in ion cyclotronsin labs, has no stable isotopes, and is part of the chalcogen group. It is deadly, due to its high levels of radiation, even though the most common isotope of livermorium only has a half life of 61 milliseconds.

Ununseptium is the most recently discovered element as of today (I remember when it was discovered). It has an atomic number of 117 and an Atomic Mass of 294. It has a half life of 112 milliseconds at stablest form (This means that in 112 milliseconds only half of the element will still be Ununseptium)
