Name change issues - Please Post here

I have a question: if i change my username when i log in will my clan tag still be there? and also i NEED to change my name because someone hacked in my account so i was just wondering.. (im maybe gonna change it 2 Ze_Spots instead of alspot02)

Changing your in-game name will not prevent the person from hacking into your account again unless you have not migrated your Minecraft account onto Mojang or have changed your password to something more secure.

Unfortunately, yes. You have to change your password, sorry you were hacked, alspot

 You can be sure your account is migrated if you log in to Minecraft with an email address and password rather than a username and password. If you log in with your username, then your account is not migrated.

 If you are migrated, change the password for the associated email address as well. If someone has accessed it even after a password change, then they are most likely using your email to get to the password again.

 So

1.) Change your email password

2.) Go to mojang.com here: https://account.mojang.com/

3.) Click on "My Account" > "Settings"

4.) At this point, IF YOU CAN, consider changing the associated email address if you have an alternative email you can use. Make SURE the new email address DOES NOT have the same password as the Minecraft account OR the old email account. If you can not do this or are not sure you understand, ask a parent or guardian to help you.

5.) Change the Minecraft account's password to something very different than your old password.
